Breaking and Entering
Im not sure if it was discussed already, but I must say that the movie is great and the music perfect it to the scenes.
I heard the soundtrack earlier than saw the movie and I was wondering how it will be like. Music fits perfectly and I love the soundtrack

Re: Breaking and Entering
Well, glad you liked it and all, and I hate to say it....but:
This was one hell of a boring movie that put me to sleep. One of those character driven films that has characters you just don't care about. Drab colors, stale acting (mostly from the kids), and music that is just too moody and spacey for this type of film. I wanted to like it with UW and all, but boy was this a lame indie drama with a strong sleeping agent added. ![]() I do have to get the soundtrack eventually however....

And of course the score was perfect. It was moody and I liked it. It was mixed a little to low in many places (mainly in the first half), but eventually the music came to the front of the mix in the second half with some really great moments (like the lovemaking scene). Those moments were great, when the music really brought out some great emotion, emotion that amplified the scenes and the characters (which is what a good score is supposed to do without getting the way). I'm surprised how well Karl's voice fit in. Excellent! I wish I could get the music stem for this film. The score in 5.1 would be lush! Overall, not an excellent movie, but it certainly had some really great moments in it. |
