Over 21's Night

this is a simple premise and in keeping within my 1980's framework, i will be playing tracks 21 years or older, so basically anything from 1980 to 1986.

expect lots of specials, fun boy three, duran, spandau, eurythmics, fgth, human league, heaven 17, new order, cure etc,. this show will be an education for you if you were born in the 1980's but were too young to appreciate the quality music that was being made... and a nostalgia lesson for the rest of us oldies...

Tuesday 3rd April
New Order Essentials

in trying to keep up with the professor and also to see how much critism i'm likely to get - this week i will be playing nothing but New Order, but let me tell you this, i won't be playing any live tracks.

firstly, new order are generally shit live, and secondly - essentials to me don't include live materials, i might stick in a few remixes, because in some cases these are what make new order essential - anyway - this is my new order essentials show, and its my choice, lets see if its any better or worse than other peoples choices (i.e. retro) join me for what promised to be an interesting selection...

Tuesday 10th April
1980's & 1990's Live Concert

this week what i will be trying to do is create a live aid type gig and play all of the big hits of the best artists from the 1980's & 1990's from their best live gigs / recordings, including DM, Soft Cell, Simple Minds, Orbital, Underworld, New Order, The Cure, and anyone and everyone else who i can gather in the time... it'll be like live aid but without status quo and bob 'fucking' geldof - this again should be an intersting show - so queue up early to get down the front

Tuesday 17th April
1980's & 1990's Classic Albums

this show will showcase the biggest and best albums from the 1980's & 1990's - the real classics, like the stone roses, dare, rio, connected, the white room, technique, etc,... and rather than play the big hits from these albums, i'll be playing the tracks that didn't get released, the hidden gems and b-side type tracks that we all know but rarely hear... so join me for this one, and see which albums i select and which tracks i pluck out
