Every time i'm in an airplane, i resolve to get noise-cancelling phones. My trusty studio Sonys are no match for a jet engine!

Why would people be annoyed by ipod earbuds, though? Unless you got em cranked to 11, no one will hear your tunes (although if you're playing UW, maybe they should )

edit: oops, i assumed you had an ipod. Maybe your mp3 player has a speaker?!

i have a pair of hd280's and hd 580's. closed and open headphones. the closed ones are perect for noisy environments... block something like 35dB which is about as good as noise cancelling ones.

i thought this thread was about cds that we recently got (for xmas)
