Daft Punk Human After All Remixes (Question)
ok - so I downloaded a copy of this release about two or three weeks ago and finally got into my head that I should actually track down a physical copy of the release

When I found it (off a collectable record webpage) it was for like over a $100

I then went onto the Canadian Amazon (I know that's weird, but trust me - sometimes they have stuff that's not listed on the .com or .co.uk versions) and found it... for the same price

Then I went onto Juno - and it was like only $20

BUT

It made no mention of the Daft Punk kubricks that should be included with the cd (which were overtly advertized on the previous two webpages)

So are there two versions of this disc? (One with and one without the toys?)

Re: Daft Punk Human After All Remixes (Question)
what the hell is this to begin with?
never heard of this and i dont know what a kubrick is outside of film studies class.

i cant help but think about what the remixers were thinking when they agreed to remix these songs. there's such a desperate lack of material.
i still like the album (wierdly enough) but to remix it?
i mean, that's funny.

Re: Daft Punk Human After All Remixes (Question)
ok -

• Kubricks = these little toys that are like about... say 2 or 3 inches tall that are somewhat of a rip off of the Lego people. here's a link -> http://eil.com/Gallery/355835b.jpg

and yea - I know... it's kinda weird that they got so many people to remix the tracks (didn't release at first how many remix 12"'s were released to the EU)... because of the simple nature of the songs. But yea - I also was one of the few fans of the original album

oh, and in the search to find a photo of the Daft Punk toys, I found out that there are, in fact two versions of this release (but both are Japan exclusives)

here's the tracklisting at least:
1. Robot Rock (Soulwax Remix)
2. Human After All (Sebastian Remix)
3. Technologic (Peaches No Logic Remix)
4. Brainwasher (Erol Alkan's Horrohouse Dub)
5. Prime Time Of Your Life (Paraone Remix)
6. Human After All (Justice Mix)
7. Technologic (Digitalism's Highway To Paris Remix)
8. Human After All (Alter Ego Remix)
9. Technologic (Vitalic Remix)
10. Robot Rock (Daft Punk Maximum Overdrive Mix)

Re: Daft Punk Human After All Remixes (Question)
a Kubrick is a toy made in Japan, kinda like Lego.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kubrick

There are two versions in Japan, one with figures, one without. Only 3000 were made with figures was made according to disogs.com

To confuse thing even more there is also a Human After All single that only has remixes of the song Human After All.

A Human After All (5:20)
B1 Human After All (Justice Remix) (3:38)
B2 Human After All (Emperor Machine Version) (6:04)
C Human After All (Alter Ego Remix) (9:22)
D1 Human After All (Sebastian Remix) (5:20)
D2 Human After All (The Juan MacLean Remix) (6:43)

I didn't think the Juan Maclean remix was that good.
