ok - so I am desperately looking for the two radio mixes of Depeche Mode's "A Pain that I'm Used To"

no - neither version have been commercially released... and I doubt they ever will.

I've tried limewire with no luck - I've tried getting a torrent of a promo, but 78+ people including myself are stuck on 94%... missing the two aforementioned versions

and I don't think that soulseek works on Mac's ...or as my luck has been going - that anyone there has it

so does anyone have either:
A Pain that I'm Used To - Radio Version 1 (3:23)
A Pain that I'm Used To - Radio Version 2 (3:25)

...I just really really really don't want to end up having to cough up $120 for it

i'm honestly not trying to piss on your parade.
but since you have given me many things that i'm still grateful for, i care about you and hope to... put things in perspective.
it's not even about this thread. i understand the great desire for alternate versions of tracks... possibly for great mixing potential... but,

can you please not spend over $100 for 2 radio edits of songs that can be heard in a longer version?

give it to charity. get a really awesome haircut. take someone out to a great dinner. buy yourself many many frozen pizzas. buy some plaster and carve out something great. buy lots of music. do you like sandwiches? i mean, think of the sandwiches. by someone an extra christmas present....

well - of course I'm not actually going to pay that much money for just those two tracks! but also - they're not just shortened versions...

I was listing the asking price for the promo which contains the mixes to put it in perspective for those who would normally just say "why don't you just buy the promo?"

and yea - I could make a lot of sandwiches with that money... as I kinda need to budget myself, as I'm currently in that grey area of "out of college but still don't have a real job" -> I'm taking some extra classes for if I decide to do med school, I will have pre-req's ready... and hey some added science courses also wouldn't look bad if I decide to go to grad school instead

...I had made a deal w/ my dad that I could "goof off" and just do music and art stuff for a year or so (unless something kicks off) as long as I take some classes that will be worth my while.

and no - I've never forked over that much money for promo's... ever

I think the most "wacky" purchase was like ~$20 or so for a promo which had a unique mix of a track... but also - don't quote me on that... as it's crazy late, and I should be asleep (but can't fall asleep)

and I should note - I even have returned stuff, because after the fact - I realized it was a bit silly to own the "special version / edition" like today... I had bought the Killers album as a 7" box set. I then was like "why exactly did I waste my money on this?" esp as I already had the album + majority of the bsides, plus two of the remix 12"'s -> then I realized it was just b/c they stamped the word "limited" on the box, and it was vinyl... it made me overlook the fact that (A) the album's not that great and (B) I don't really listen to their tracks anymore, save for a couple of the remixes

i dont have those tracks, but soulseek for mac woorks fine for me. three clients. nicotine, solarSeek and soulseeX.

i've tried solarSeek and soulseeX and both worked fine. i had to mess around with port forwarding on my router and configure my firewall, but they both work great. i personally prefer soulseeX

However, in this case I've looked at the mixes that I've gathered and I have these. They are entirely unremarkable. You're crazy if you buy this. If you cant find them then get in touch.
