my 'full' version of cowgirl- w/ intro, long ending, etc. like it?

i put together the 12" version of cowgirl with the full ending and the album version with the intro together in audacity. you might hear where it fades in. this is mp3 (128 Kbps) sourced, but in FLAC format, so i think it should've removed the gaps at the beginning and end, so you can burn it to a cd. if it didn't, i guess you can remove them in some audio program.

i was looking for some help, too! i'm new to audacity. plus, does anyone have a lossless (non mp3 sourced) version of the 12" version of cowgirl, so that it can be perfect?

The "Album Version" (8:55) of Cowgirl is on the TVTRecords CD, with Dirty Epic.

i haven't checked out your mix yet, bryantm3, but i'm just wondering how much longer is this than the LP? i looked on bigscreensatellites's discog, but couldn't find a length for the 12".

the 12" version is 8:55. the album is 8:25, but has a 30 second intro, so the fadeout is actually one minute longer, and is a superior way to fade the song out, while the album version throws it all out at once and sounds messy and annoying.

I know it says "Album Version" but its actually the 12" version. Just so you know.

yeah, but it's not on there anyway. the TVT records CD has the 8:25 version. the 12" record has the 8:55 version.

whoa. i tried doing the crossover near the end before the long fadeout, and it sounds WAY better. see if you can see where the album version ends and the 12" version begins. start playing it around 6:00 (or maybe 5:30?) i'll post the new version up top in a few minutes (once i upload it)

edit: rapidshare is pretty slow today. this might take a while.
