Mutemath!
Very cool band on the rise with a nice mix of sounds. Sort of like a cross between an electronic Coldplay and the Police. I know that description sounds like shit, but it's a GREAT cd that should not go unheard! Tracks 5 and 8 are straight up amazing. Thumbs up and I can't wait for the follow up cd.

Re: Mutemath!
Hadn't heard of them before, but hearing them now! Your comparison description got me interested because The Police are probably in my top 10 bands of all time and Coldplay has often moved me, i'm not ashamed to say!
"Typical" didn't really do anything for me...the reverb on the big vocals made me think of Live or nondescript 90's alt-rock. "Chaos" and "Stare at the Sun", on the other hand, does have guitar lines reminiscent of "Parachutes"-era Coldplay, and i guess i detect a lil bit of Sting's old swagger or inflection in the voices. A few neat bleeps and electro effects on top. "Reset" reminds me a bit of something off of Keane's last disc.

Re: Mutemath!
The best songs (to me) are Noticed and Obsolete which are not featured there.....not to mention that these myspace tracks are crap quality anyways. The entire cd will grow on you slowly as songs that don't initially stand out become favs.
