This is a six hour Italian epic that follows two brothers through divergent paths from the sixties to the present. It's out now, locally anyway, in the foreign films' new releases section at mainstream video stores.

It is also wholly excellent. I ordered sushi, opened a bottle of wine, and watched the whole thing in one sitting. You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch a six hour flick, but I, for one, think that was definitely six hours well spent.

I had to give this a little bump because I was thinking about how good it was the other day and so far I've convinced zero people to see it.
