New Mix of Dark & Long? Who's done it?

Steve Lawler has been playing a great chunky new mix of UW Dark & Long recently (3rd track on a recent live Global Gathering Miami 06 dj set) i was wondering if anyone knew who it was by?

Thanks for the heads up on this one Matt. I've just grabbed the mix and given it a listen and it sounds more like a rework with Karl's vocals than a remix. The mix sounds like its taken from an audience recording but a very good one at that, and its more like Dark Train than Dark & Long.

Anyway, I couldnt not let everyone else have the chance to listen so I've uploaded it to MegaUpload for dirty pleasure. The link is here (12.5mb mp3@256kbps).

Yeah it might be a re edit. I heard him play it here last month when i went to see him. He played it near the end of the set that night and i went nuts! Was dancing my ass off.
That Global Gathering Audience recording doesn't do it justice. Will have to hunt for more recent Lawler sets to see if there's a mixing desk recording of it.

Agreed! Thanks very much, Stimpee!
Lot's of "live"-sounding reverb on the drums, flanger on the violin pads, and a bit of resyncopation to the vocals. i can imagine this killed at the club because Dark Train is a classic, but on it's own, this mix is so-so in my opinion.

It has kind of a late 90's vibe to it doesn't it?
I kind of like it but it wasn't the sound i was thinking of when i read here that there was a new mix.
But it's not bad. I loved the late 90's.
