Sample info pls
lately i've been hearing this one jungle track that has an old r&b/soul sample, and it was the same one that was used by the rapper Freeway on the song "What We Do" (featuring beanie seigel and jay-z) i think it was one of Kanye West's production.
but anyhow, does anybody know who the original artist/song is? both the jungle and freeway track contains the line "even though what we do is wrong" repeated throughout both tracks. |

Re: Sample info pls
the jungle track is High Contrast - What We Do, released on his own label The Contrast
according to some forums, the sampled track is "i just cant see myself without you" by Creative Source from 1974, but i downloaded that song and i can't spot the sample in there (it's sung by a man, too), so i'm not sure.

Re: Sample info pls
On all allmusic.com the song has S Scarborough in the credits. Skip Scarborough wrote songs for Creative Source and Earth, Wind, And Fire along with a lot of other groups, so it comes from one of those songs.
Does it not say in the cd booklet?
