Liking the samples. 23am and Dreamland are guilty pleasures of mine (the former, especially), but I could never get into Organik for some reason. Been hanging out for this since someone (likely you, I'm guessing ) mentioned he had a new one coming on these very forums. Thanks for the link.

Re: Miles Fripp
Dreamland was one of the first albums i got on cassette when i was 15, after Children was released here in the UK.. That and 'The Grid - Evolver' were in my walkman all the time.

The new material sounds like he is going back to his traditional mediterranean roots, lots of jazzy guitar and soft piano ballads... no electronic.

Not a bad thing, he is obviously sticking with what he does best.. after all, piano over a trance beat is very 1990s.

Re: Miles Fripp
Bargo, Pick up Organik again. . . probably one of the best albums of the decade.
Bill Lasswells bass and Nitin Sawhneys guitar are both mindblowing, especially in the context of Miles' studio mastery.

Then check out Miles_Gurtu. Yeah it ain't dance. But meaty. The great thing about it is the way Miles' mixes Trilok Gurtu's percussion.

They are two albums that reveal themselves only after repeated listening.

Mike, nothing he has done has been "going back" - its definitely electronic but with incredible "traditional" musicians as well.

Organik and Miles_Gurtu are both phenomenal.

Oh yeah, bargo, nothing to be ashamed about with 23am. . . great album!

Dreamland on the other hand. . . smelly cheese!

They are not as good as "Clash of the Titans".
