The Last Shyamalander Movie and movies in 3D rant.
....aka This Really Should Be The Last Time M.Night Should Be Trusted With A Movie.
He essentially took an animated series that appealed to both children and adults, and turned into an emofest that only kids below 9 yrs of age would enjoy (my friend took his son to go see it and i tagged along for free...and only the kid really liked the movie). the hope originally was that he'd only be directing and not writing this time around...well, he wrote the screen adaptation it turns out. but hey, maybe it would still be awesome even with the awfully scripted/directed/paced/acted film if you get to enjoy the visuals in 3D! the answer....It's a total RIPOFF!!!!! the previews before the actual feature had MORE 3D than the actual movie! Outside of the opening sequence re: the Paramount logo with some water effects, there was less and less 3D as the movie went along. you know how bad it is when you start noticing that the only 3D being shown on the screen is the superimposed text. "OMG, that "Four Days Later..." reeeeallly POPS right out of the screen1111111!!!!

Re: The Last Shyamalander Movie and movies in 3D rant.
I lost all faith in that a guy a long time ago. He is a complete hack now. I'll admit he had some good ideas back in the day, but to be honest, I never thought his direction was great. Now it seems like he's a one-trick pony and I can't believe people still watch the stuff he comes out with. I will never watch another Shamylanjiandfian film ever again and I'm glad I didn't see the Last Aircrapper.
I'm glad you are one of the smart ones that recognizes his complete failure in the movie industry; he's almost as bad as Uwe Boll. However, you lose some personality points for watching Last Airbender in theaters and thus giving more power to Shamylanjiandfian. |

I was only slightly interested in seeing this until the reviews started pouring n on rottentomatoes. 6% when I had looked was a pretty big way of saying "stay away"

Re: The Last Shyamalander Movie and movies in 3D rant.
You know, I rewatched The Sixth Sense a few weeks ago, and I still like it. And Signs is good too. But I saw The Happening last year, and it was complete dreck. What happened to this guy?
