Down Team Up: Give and Take
Folks,

Summer is here, summer is hot, summer's not going anywhere anytime soon. So I create tunes in the comfort of an air-conditioned room, then road-test the tunes in my headphones walking the radiant streets.

Latest diversion/musical delusion: Down Team Up: "Give and Take"
The press release foolishness:

"We give. You take. That's how it works in netlabel-land.
Down Team Up are back with a summer record, that we think is well worth the taking.
"Give and Take" opens and closes with breezy, atmospheric keys and nostalgic soundscapes, but is overstuffed with energetic sounds over the course of 12 tracks spanning 52 minutes. As with their debut EP, the tunes on "Give and Take" each have a distinctive personality and share traits with many styles of electronic music, but are seamlessly mixed together. Take the time to listen to the entire record as a whole and you'll be treated to a soundtrack for moments both magical and ominous, as well as a few self-depracating sonic winks."

If you're so inclined, listen and download here and more musical junk at my netlabel here

To get you just a little bit enticed, the track titles, all very meaningful, are:

1. April to August
2. The Sky's Not Right Tonight
3. Evidence Text
4. Hollywood Hills of Houston
5. Desert Extremes
6. Just Because You Haven't Doesn't Mean You Won't
7. Foxfire
8. Hidden People
9. Weird Kid
10. Who Talks Like This?
11. A Little Too Precious
12. Those Days are Fading but Not Gone

Thanks for listening!
Holden

Downloaded the whole thing and listened to it twice yesterday. Tracks 3 and 4 are my favorite, really sweet stuff man, seriously. If you ever get it pressed to vinyl let me know

Re: Down Team Up: Give and Take
thanks for listening, Caprice!

It's odd - i worked for a short while on the debut Down Team Up EP and for some odd reason, it got a lot of downloading attention. This LP took a lot more time and effort, and it looks to be another release into oblivion. Too much free music out there? Or is it crap? Or something lacking in the promotion? Probably a bit of all...

Re: Down Team Up: Give and Take
Right, so I just discovered that the version i'd uploaded and shared previously was an almost-finished-but-not-quite version. Oops! I'd subsequently made it a bit more punchy and added some movie dialog and samples for dramatic/comedic effect where needed.

Final LP is free for the taking here:

thanks for listening,
