Sound editor for OS X?
Can anyone recommend a decent sound editor for OS X? Something comparable to Sound Forge for PC? I've played with Audacity but don't care for it. Plus it doesn't work with my Echo Indigo IO.

Are you looking for something free? I think Bias Peak is one of the best, but it isn't cheap. There are some decent freeware ones out there, but I can't recall their names...google it.

If you're looking for something basic there's Cacophony. I use it to edit music, fade in/out, and cut or split tracks. It's a shareware app for like $39 or so - but if you use it without registering, all you get is a nagging splash screen, but you still get all functions - just have to wait like 30secs.

now playing: Banstyle/Sappys Curry - UW

I was just gonna recommend Cacophony. Its so lightweight that its great for quick editing. Kinda reminds me of how CoolEdit used to be about 10 years ago.

One I havent tried is Wave Editor from Audiofile. Its not free by far but I think theres a trial.

Is that like a Light Edition of Peak, Prof? Cuz I thought Peak cost a fortune.
