re-edits ...
i've made myself some re-edits of "lovely broken thing" and also of "pizza for eggs", to make them sound more "flowing" to my ears, if you understand, what i mean with it.
"lovely broken thing" is now 1. jal to tokyo 2. billy goat 3. peggy sussed 4. lenny penne 5. monkey wink "pizza for eggs" is now 1. food a ready 2. back in the fears 3. vanilla monkey 4. flatz 5. ancient phat farm coat 6. play pig 7. dub shepherd 8. witness i may re-edit "pizza for eggs" again, because i still find "ancient phat farm coat" a little bit poor and a very similar piano line was already used to a much better effect in "ansum"- a wonderful song- before. what do you think?

Re: re-edits ...
Interesting idea.
![]() I like the way you added Witness to P4E instead. Seems to fit in far better with that style than on LBT. As for Ancient Phat Farm Coat, I would have liked the version with the welsh lessons on it. Not their strongest piece ever though.

Re: re-edits ...
thanks!
"dub shepherd" also fits in very well between "play pig" and "witness"- at least for my ears. what version with the welsh language in it was that? a live version? i haven't heard that one- so far! i simply love the welsh language ... and some very early freur stuff was in welsh too! cymru rules!

Even though its only a few minutes shorter, "Pizza" seems to go by really fast, and it's melancholy throughout...i wouldn't ming a more uplifting bit on it, although i'm sure UW know what they want and delivered!

Re: re-edits ...
Actually, i always found if you play LBt and PFE back to back, "Witness" is a great segue into PFE. Almost like a 60 minute piece instead of two seperate ones

Re: re-edits ...
noticed that too. had both back to back in my ipod and went running in the mist and rain of berkeley california over christmas. that transition between those two songs and those two larger pieces was delightful, sublime even.
made for great headspace if that makes sense. can't wait for whatever is next. only hope it is very very very soon. like now. |
