end of an earole...
blimey - after 14 and a half years, i'm on my last day at the office. redundancy has swept through, and i've grasped it gladly! be strange not to be putting things on the nation's telly; but also pretty nice not to be doing so too...

...now off to get a bit on the drunk side - cheers dirts

it's not a bbc thing for me - they sold off our department a few years back and we became a private company, which in turn was bought by macquarie bank. because commercial channels are suffering they're spending less on enhancing their output, which is what i was doing, so cuts were pretty inevitable...

...as was this hangover - i think i sampled all of the alcohol groups last night

Re: end of an earole...
Man im sorry to hear bout it, it can be tough but you seem to be taking it the right way. It's been pretty bad over here in Ireland and in RTE (irish equivilant to BBC) they have been asking people to leave, and to take a 2 year break for very little money.

Though your attitude is fantastic and i'm hearing lot's of real encouraging stories about how people have taken it as an oportunity to get out of a rut and explore new options and finally try out what you always wanted to do.

Plus you can always just throw up what kind of work you will be looking for and i will keep an eye out and let you know - and im sure the others will too!
