Dear Karl & Rick (re: Perth)
(do they actually read these forums?)

i have a small request for your upcoming Australia tour. For the Perth leg, could you please play one of the following (or all!?)

Strumpet
Bambo
Luetin
8 Ball
You Do Scribble

many thanks.

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
Strumpet and You Do Scribble are pretty likely to be played anywhere at the moment.
Bamboo... maybe, it's been played regularly in the recent tour.
Luetin... probably not.
8 Ball... I don't think so

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
I think Leutin was played once in New York on this tour and 8 Ball...well its never been played but I think on webcasts, Ricks hinted that he does want to play it at some point.

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
I think Luetin was played a few times in the last year so its possible. But these were not festival gigs and it doesnt normally get played at these type of gigs.

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
yah, Luetin and particularly 8 Ball are long shots, i know. especially at large festivals.

to me though either one of these tracks would make a great and emotional final track for a performance. would love to see it happen one day...

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
"Luetin" was the opener at the Central park gig Sept 2007. It was magical!

If they played 8-Ball live, it would bring about peace and sweeeping change for the good in the world! It could (should?) be a jubilant closer like "Jumbo".

Re: Dear Karl & Rick
I've always wondered what would happen if they incorporated lyrics (or, perhaps even musical elements?) of Luetin into live performances of Moaner. After all, it's like Moaner 2.0, and the same could be said of tracks like Rez or River of Bass (commonly making cameos or major influences in more popular tracks).
