album shopping
hey there dirts. i haven't been round here in ages. anyone remember me?

it don't matter. just wanted to hear some quick opinions before i head to the cd shop on the weekend. what do people think of:

the reissue of Herbert's 100lb.
My Robot Friend, Dial Zero.
Squarepusher, Hello Everything.

if anyone has any opinions on those, don't hold back. love to hear what you think

Re: album shopping
Only one I've heard is the Squarepusher, and it's...okay, I guess. Some people really like it and think it's great...I think it's a great first purchase because it's a little more listener friendly than some of his others, but his other output is so good you should get his previous albums first (besides Do You Know Squarepusher). If you already have them, then you're probably a big enough fan that you'll like this one anyway.

Re: album shopping
i have only been a casual fan of squarepusher, liked a few songs that i've heard, never got around to picking up an album. so if this is a bit more listener friendly, probably a great place to start then. thanks.

Re: album shopping
absolutely buy Herbert's 100lbs reissue. that is by far my fav. Herbert LP and would be worth the cash without the bonus disc. i have the original pressing on LP and CD and i'll still be buying this reissue. top notch, innovative and still relavent. this was the peak of Herbert's house side. don't miss it.

Re: album shopping
i was concerned that this herbert album wouldn't be as good because it's missing the sweet sweet vocals of dani siciliano. but if you put it that way, it's definately going on my shopping list too. cheers.

Re: album shopping
Seen My Robot Friend live twice and have the album - it's alright, but the live shows are an absolute blast. Strangely though, he never plays what are probably the two strongest tracks of the album; Dial 0 and 23 Minutes In Brussels.
