trust me,

i wouldn't be starting this if i wasn't motivated..

i'll be revisiting this shortly, and taking into
account the anthology 1992-2012 tracks
and the collection tracks/edits also.

2 years ago.. we started thinking about this project:

also 2 versions of 'big meat show' are out, so one
of those could be included...probably the DubnoDAT version.

1) once again, its basically
just uw-mk2 (except on the bonus edits disc)

2) i finally! have the time for
'minniapolis airwaves', and have added that in..

3) i tried to get all the tracks to
fit in 80 minutes..

4) the tracks are about 95% in
chronological order

5) i tried to use tracks NOT
represented on the previous anthology,
b-sides, rare tracks, and promo
mixes wherever possible...

a lot had to be left out
(italian king of snake mixes,
born slippy.nuxx edits,
and of course all the
newer material from
this year -(2006)...but it could
be put on two other discs..

take a look..

every major single is represented
in some form or another..

i've intentionally left off most of the other
b-sides, as those are 'relatively'
easy to find used...(or could be
on yet another disc)...

seriously, i have access to all my vinyl,
a USB turntable, software, all my cd-singles.

we can make it happen,
jump on board with thoughts,
and lets make it happen.

i know rtsr is kind of quiet,
and we could post the results there.

but at least use these for a start.

the boxset collection, and
then we'll look at an underworld remix
collection project.

hmm... looks interesting. I would be down for this project... even though I'm pretty sure I have most of this (although - it'd be nice to get an upgrade on some of the tracks that I only have as low-quality mp3's, like that remix of 'Bruce Lee')

Only thing that seems 'missing' ... is, well - wasn't the "Large Unit" remix of Push Upstairs only on 12" (and one of the last few UW self-remixes?)

one thing that I'd LOVE to have, is a collection of all of the Underworld remixes of other artists, especially if it also contained the Steppin' Razor ones as well. I definitely have not been able to track all of those down, even after all these years.

Is there a significant difference between the Why Why Why mixes? not just an edit?

In fact that point goes for all the edits. The ones that are just fade-outs, are they that important? Are the edits just fadeouts?

Why Why Why actually has different edit structures for all 3 versions.

For the other edits, most are not strict fade-out edits. Most of them have slight changes to make the shorter run-time work. e.g. shortened/different intros/outros.

doing the remixes project is another one that
i can do in line with this one.

one step at a time.

will start scanning covers, and getting the tracks
ready for a preliminary go at it.
