RIP Peace campaigner Brian Haw
Shocked to hear of his death. For those outside the UK, Brian set up camp in Parliament Square in 2001, initially in response to sanctions against Iraq. He remained there for the next 10 years.

'Riggadon' in the comments sums up my view to a tee:
Pretty telling that there are people who care more about the state of the grass in Parliament Square than a man's right to free speech. That's this country all over, and it's why folk like Brian feel pushed to do something. Evidently it got him nowhere, but he has 50 times more respect from me than the nobodies who go through their life laughing at people like him. He stood up for something.
