This month's release is called
Slow Down This Thing a Bit and features three explorations of the "fight or flight" response.
"Stimulus Mix" begins with safe, warm ambient melodies and sparse piano and beats, but builds tension and unease with shifting melodies and layered hooks. "Cascade Mix" is the internal sound of the physiological changes of the stimulus, reverberating heartbeats and chemical messengers. "Response Mix" demands action; it urgently presents tense synth stabs and rolling basslines over skittering beats. The actual response is up to the listener: does this sound like a flight to safety or a fight against the danger?
