They have not provided any substantial info as to why it was cancelled. Beyond the initial statement, in some social media replies, they stated: "I'm afraid that at this point, we can say no more than we have said in our statement. We are incredibly disappointed not to be coming - we were 100% ready to go...flights and freight booked, crew on standby, show rehearsed....."

So it sounds like the band was ready to go, and the festivals are still proceeding. It can't have been illness, since it was cancelled weeks in advance. The promoters sounded blindsided by the cancellation. Maybe it was some kind of contractual disagreement, but surely that would have been within either the band or promoter's control?

Anyway, all indications are that Dubai is still on. It's still on the event calendar, and the promoter is still promoting it.
