I loved parts of Karl's solo album and the Brian Eno collaboration but I'm really looking forward to get back to the real stuff.
2016 seems far away, but it sounds like they are searching for the ultimate combination of a crowd pleaser and a sophisticated & complete sound that Karl is talking about.
It was quite obvious that they are testing something during these concerts and I think this is the reason why Rick stayed longer at the mixing board. I must say I feel happy that I had the chance to see it live. I had a very good view from the upper circle at the Casino de Paris, so I could see them all with the audience in between. Their interplay in this set gave an extra dimension to the whole experience.
There are lots of good music out there but what makes UW so special is that they have the full circle - the art, the spirit, the personality (oh yes, we shook hands so now I know
) and the fact that they are so aware about it all. But I guess that's what separates real professionals from the natural talented.
I'm a hooked hardcore fan forever
