As I understand it, you're right, UMC is responsible for all the digital distribution, including the pricing. I am not hopeful that it will be adjusted. The previous drops also had wonky digital pricing, and those were never changed.

On the bright side, U.S. retailers always had regular pricing for those drops ($1 for lossy tracks, $2 for lossless tracks). On the downside, Juanita 2022 seems to have not been released in the U.S. I hope that's just an oversight.

So, I was told that UW needed to renegotiate their distribution agreement with UMG in order to be able to post their own digital releases through Bandcamp. I haven't asked about it, but given that they haven't used Bandcamp in over 2 years I'd say that probably means that they weren't able to do that.

I don't think so. They seem to be doing a retrospective riff on the Live in Tokyo release in the run-up to the Japan gigs in July. The promos for those gigs had the same aesthetic.
