Congrats on the interest in your music - you deserve it! Hope it works out.

I'm not in NY myself, so i can't say what the club scene is like nowadays. But you're right that in general, the US is pretty oblivious to electronic music, at least on a mainstream level. Sure, there are pockets where it's big (Detroit, Chicago, NY, Miami, other larger cities) or there's a great club or DJ scene. But it's sadly much more of a niche genre than in Europe.
I guess the closest we got to electronic music on the Pop charts or in the popular consciousness was the "electronica" revolution of 1997 that never happened (Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Crystal Method got a lot of attention and airplay here), or maybe ~2000 when Moby's "Play" came out.
