Erm.. that is the "point"... it is pointless!! It's intended to be pointless.

Anyways, Sartre's Nausea browbeats The Stranger to a bloody pulp... in the sense that Sartre's ability to present a rising up of meaning out of absurd, meaningless surroundings and events in the story is not only more significant, but more interesting as well. It is all just a matter of taste, of course.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Nausea.
