great spot!
unlikely that UW has anything to do with this though, because Ring Road uses a stock sound from a sample library... For example it's in the Star Wars episode from Familiy Guy, too.
Overall I don't care which samples UW use as long as they fit... but still I wonder why they used this one so blatantly.
