I'm pretty disturbed by the thread being locked, too. I understand that things got heated, but this is the world forum, and that's just how things go here. There's disagreement that sometimes escalates to anger, but we tend to be able to ultimately work things out. Locking a thread like that removes that opportunity and leaves too much unresolved in my opinion. Like I didn't get to add one more crucial point about Bush also opposing stem cell research because of the same misguided reasoning he's now applied to birth control, but that doesn't mean he hates people with Parkinson's or Alzheimer's or paralysis. It just means he's made an idiotic judgement about the value of a lifeless lump of cells over living breathing human beings who have serious needs. But I guess I'll never get the chance to make that point...
