actually, Doug Pray's previous film Hype! is also very good, examining the media explosion surrounding Seattle in the early 90s.


but yeah, Scratch is very well put together. I always love that one guy's gold records all dusty and seemingly discarded in his basement next to his ton of vinyl... I also love Pray's commentary giving indespensable documentarian tricks like just getting someone walking somewhere, doesn't matter where, to layer interview over. Like Steinski just walking up to some random door.

hmmm now i feel like watching it again.
