jan, you make very good points..

the interesting thing to me, about vinyl, is that for me,
it qualifies with every other point you make..

well, that is, i get it, and convert it to wav, and then never play
it again..

usually,you get much bigger and better artwork...the sound quality
is just as good (in a different way, [i compared the OWB cd to
vinyl earlier]).....

you still get a physical product,

there is no drm...(ok, you need a turntable)....

although the price is sometimes higher(especially for albums,
i paid a HUGE amount of money (over US$80 for the 4xLP
underworld 1992-2002 boxset)....finding older vinyl is very
cheap, unless it is rare, i got a near mint 'mmm skyscraper'
for about US$10....try finding that on CD singles..

so don't write off vinyl.....it is STILL very important..

especially when there are so many vinyl only tracks,
and rare songs that you will never find anywhere else,
in any format (mother earth/the hump mixes, etc)..
