If you don't get satisfaction from that at the end of the investigation, then file a dispute with your credit card company (you did pay by credit card, right?).

i did indeed pay with credit card. i have a feeling that long list of names hides a fairly short list of dealers, though. i suspect that they sell sell sell and as soon as they incur negative feedback they abandon their accounts and move on to another. my seller has pulled all of his auctions since i emailed him.

it's not enough money to really be worth it to me, but i might put in a complaint if it would hassle him a little bit.
