Edit: I haven't tried it yet, but a solution for Windows might be to use EAC for both ripping and splitting. In particular, the "Tools" -> "Split WAVs by cue sheet" option in the menu should do the job once the WAV files have been generated.

I have just ripped the Manchester gig I bought with EAC...works like a charm and I have always loved this free program. You just need to insert the CD, open EAC and click on "Action" and choose "Copy image and create cue sheet" and you can choose whether to make an uncompressed (WAV) version with an automatically generated cuesheet or you can use an external encoder like LAME and compress the album in the bitrate of your choice and the cuesheet will be generated automatically as well.
