that's your choice, you miss out on the great artwork,
and sometimes better mastering...i compared OWB on
cd vs vinyl, and the vinyl had some differences..

Also, if you're lucky, promos even are cheaper than digital downloads and as a bonus I'm free to encode in any format I wish and I "own" a physical product.

'if you're lucky'............not many people are lucky, most promos
go for very expensive prices.....so that's not much better...

Somehow I feel that the promos are driving potential buyers away from the "real" releases...
|
since there aren't many promo's, and since the promo buyers
are usually fans (unless they're reselling them),....the real
fans buy the real releases anyway..

You even get CDs with all three RiverRuns cheaply on eBay. Not to mention the CDs with all the RR remixes on them.

the last one that just sold on ebay, which i tried to bid
for, went for over GBP30 which is about US$60 , hardly
cheap.....and each one of those 3cd's went of GBP 25,
or about $50..i know, because i bid on them, and lost..

It's sad that UW don't get the money for it that I would have gladly paid for a official release...

it's always been that way..
that's why i buy the regular releases to support the band.
