You don't HAVE to pay. You can still go for the audience boot that sounds like it has been recorded in an old tin box with some squealy bird going "Ai-ai-ai-ai-ai" 2 feet from the concealed mic, and people talking about complete rubbish in the background if that's your bag. I know it isn't mine though.
