Re: Beowulf is a must see in 3-D!!!!
This was quite a fun time. I just got home from a double feature of this film and No Country for Old Men. Beowulf was the perfect dessert to the fine main course meal that No Country was.

I was really surprised by how well the 3D worked. I didn't see it in IMAX 3D however, but just digital 3D.

There are a lot of gimicky shots in the first thirty minutes or so that really are showing off the 3D effects, but there were a handful of times throughout the film where I found myself entirely immersed in the story visually.

The story wasn't as bad as I was expecting and coming from Roger Avary and Neil Gaimen, I wasn't expecting anything bad, but I had my hesitations after those trailers for the film.
