the problem with the Orb is Alex Patterson. if the Orb was just Fehlmann, they'd be much better. whether it's true or not, i hold Patterson responsible for the cheesy vocals and shit attempts at humor. 75% of this record is classic Orb material. maybe there's a version of it somewhere that dispenses with the shitty, cheesy vocals and just focuses on the dub heavy ambience.
seeing Fehlmann live on October 3. i'll ask him if he's ever put off by Dr. LX's sense of humor.
