i think if they were offered more show they would do them.its not just a case of wanting to play somewhere its finding a promoter thats willing to do the show and then trying to make things cost effective.
i think that underworld want to play a gig the size of something they would do in larger cities in europe to make doing gigs in america not lose money.if they aren't taking tour support, like i'm sure lcd would do, to tour america smaller gigs don't work out for a band.
i think that they will see how the album goes and then be back around coachella.i have deduced this will the knowledge of the music biz i have picked up during my years at elmbridge borough council !
