been to loads of shows at central park, at all the different venues. noise is not a problem at all. you can rarely ever hear anything till you get into the park. late shows usually end around 11ish. the park itself "closes" at midnight. security is totally fine too, especially after a big show. the venue itself is okay, not too big. expect not to be able to see much as it is standing room/general admission. often times there are bleacher seats available. but this show may not have them. also, expect to get dirty - you will literally be dancing in dirt. sometimes if it is really hot, they will try to hose down the crowd as much as they can. but don't rely on it. also, you probably wont be able to bring anything into the venue with you (bags, gear, food, etc.). security checks are tighter than they used to be; you could be frisked at entry. they will probably have some vendors w/ water, sometimes beer. if they get good sponsors, sometimes you might get food, t-shirts, etc. other times amenities can be real spotty. also, if you leave the arena, they may not let you back in.

not for nothing, but sometimes it is best to hang out outside the venue. that way you can stretch out, have all the dance space you want, and hear just as well. better than standing shoulder-to-shoulder, in dead sweaty heat, for seven hours. (but that's probably just my old lady ass talkin'.... )

random thought - theres a local - surprisingly cool - manhattan tv channel (ch. 25) that films almost all of the summer stage events and broadcasts them throughout the year. i wonder if this show will be broadcast???
