Heard "Do It again" for the first time last night, and well...
But i remember that i rarely liked the lead-off single.
Like many, i discovered the Chems with "Dig Your Own Hole" in 1997. That's a tough album to match, so my expectations for "surrender" were really high. i think in the U.S., the lead-off single was "Let Forever Be", and i thought, "meh, what a bad retread of Setting Sun". Learned to love it, though.
Same with "It Began in Afrika". first listens = "WTF?". Later, i can't get enough of that jungle cat!
And the same with "Get Yourself High" and even "Galvanize". Q-Tip, NO! Soon became, "yes, Q-Tip, the time HAS come! Push that button!".
hoping for the same effect this time around, once i hear the whole LP and let it work as a unified whole, the way i prefer to enjoy the Chemcical Brothers.
