i've tried starting threads on new bands, records, etc ... but the discussion almost never takes off. there used to be a lot of enthusiasm about hearing new music on this board, which i think peaked back when audiogalaxy was still around and we had our own group where we passed around music that had been talked about on the forum.
as matt himself has said, these days the ratio of people here solely for UW (and Darren Emerson, and
maybe Trentemoller har har) to people who are constantly looking for new music seems to be a LOT higher. anyone who says "well duh it's an UW forum" obviously doesn't know/remember how it used to be.
i think there just needs to be a critical mass. a bunch of people left.
