i've seen vnv nation 3 times and have really enjoyed the shows. as one of the djs at the local industrial/goth/ebm club, we play stuff by vnv a fair amount, so i might be a little biased.
the music draws a lot from trance music with some synth-strings thrown in here and there. if you have itunes on your computer (or some other program that let's you preview tracks), check out tracks like "joy", "solitary", "standing", and "chrome".
if you go, expect to see lots of goff girls in black pvc next to kids with glow sticks
