sort of off-topic: aren't some bars doing "ipod dj nights" where a bunch of people bring in their ipods and the bar plays a few tracks off of each? i could see this being good for that. that's all that immediately comes to mind though . . . |
yeah I was thinking it'd be good for that too (bar ipod nights). of course i'm pretty sure people are just playing 3 songs in a row off their own ipod, and mixing over to the other ipod isn't really that necessary. In that case you just need a 1/8" plug (is that what the line-out on the ipod is?) coming off the mixer.
Of course this thing looks a lot nicer, and that is actually pretty important, but still it seems kind of like a marketing-before-usefulness kind of thing.
Oh well, everybody has to make money, even numark. Hopefully they use the money from this to fund research into the ultimate kickass dj mixer that I've been dreaming of!
