Agreed. This is an album that gets into you slowly. Nice themes, repeated motifs, lots of small surprises. Karl's voice as a lovely instrument (a la "I'm a big sister..." tracks), great guitar bits, even some beats if you listen closely!
First listen, i wasn't wowed, either...it sounded too minimal/unfinished. Give it some more spins while relaxed (maybe not drugged up on nyquil), and it'll start surprising you wirth lovely lil things.
