totally agree with your sentiments. in fact, a while back, i did a lil remix of 8 Ball called "AViD's dark and happy mix". You can be both.
i get really affected around the end when Karl's singing "today! Today!" and the melody is rising. "That bright stuff makes me feel feeeel HAPPY!"
i get so happy there i can't stop crying. Like Holden Caulfield did.
