thanks for explaining the caravans thing. it's true they're generally not an annoyance in the states because most of our roads have multiple lanes and you can just pass them by. but i have been on some mountain roads where they slow traffic down. the nicer drivers will pull over every now and again so people can pass and unclog the backup, so to speak, but there will be the annoying ones who trundle along and slow everyone down for miles and miles.
