I have the Slim Devices Squeezebox vol.1 and it's a pretty decent tool for what it does. There are other devices that do the same thing now but for the money, it's easy to set up and fairly reliable. I did have some networking issues but those were user errors, not the fault of the software/hardware.

this hi-fi device sounds like a skam though. what audiophile compresses their music in mp3 format?
