Just curious, but those splitting programs produce gaps at track transitions, don't they?
If you have foobar2000 0.9.x or a newer Winamp or a DAP which supports
gapless playback (my
rockbox'ed iriver H120 does) you could also use
this tool, that cuts mp3s perfectly.
I'm not going to destroy that wonderful mixing with gaps.
