I love Eurovision!
When we were kids, my brother, sister and I used to take it
very seriously, watching all the British heats, delighted or disappointed as our favourites won or lost.
Then the big night - our parents would tolerate us with a wry smile as we got all excited, and were allowed to stay up late to watch the final votes come in.
It was great to sit there with my own son last night, as we laughed and took the mickey out of all the different acts. And "stern" warnings from his dad that he shouldn't laugh, cos he could end up like that if he doesn't do his bass practice.
I didn't hang around for the votes, but came away with the view that if Lordi didn't win it, there was no justice in the world. Great fun!
