well... I've never heard any mention of Blade Runner f/ UW, but I definitely know that Akira has (at least) influenced them

but I didn't know that there were six different versions of the film... I only knew of three (one w/ Deckard's narration, which I've only seen on a friend's beta-max(!) tape; the "Director's Cut"* which is the only available one on dvd; and the edited for tv version, which has Deckard's narration)

*apparently the 'director's cut' isn't really a truthful term. I remember reading somewhere that Ridley Scott actually didn't get to finish the version, it was rushed, and he wasn't happy with the final product
