Well, there are some open source apps like VLC or MPlayer that will work.
But, here's the easiest, Mac-like way I found.
1. Download
Audion. Make sure you get the
free registration code.
2. Open Audion, and enter the code in the "Purchase" menu under "Enter Serial Number..."
3. Go to "File" and "Open Stream...". Enter the URL for the audio stream and Open it.
4. Go to "Tools" and "Record..." Make sure your Recording Device is set to "Audion" and press the Start button.
I've verified that this does a direct dump of the stream, not a re-encode.
